Paykan Tehran· Paykan Tehran are in the semifinals for the third time after 2009 and 2010. In both these years they lost against Trentino Betclic by 3-0.
· The Iranians kicked off their campaign with two straight set victories and can win three World Championship matches in a row for the first time ever.
· Paykan are the only team without having lost a set this World Championship.
· Of all four semifinalists, Tehran have the worst win/loss ratio in the history of the World Championship (47%), having won seven matches, while losing eight.
· An Iranian side has yet to reach the final of the men's Club World Championship.
Sada Cruzeiro Volei· Sada Cruzeiro Volei have reached the semifinals in all of their four participations (2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015).
· They are the only team reaching the last four in each of the last four years.
· In 2012 and 2013, Sada Cruzeiro reached the final after beating Skra Belchatów (3-2) in 2012 and UPCN San Juan (3-0) in 2013. They lost 3-1 against Al-Rayyan in the 2014 semifinals.
· They have won only one of their last five World Championship matches, which was their first group match against Capitanes de Arecibo on Tuesday.
