Betim to welcome FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship

The 2015 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship will take place in Betim in Brazil from October 27-31, with some of the world’s best teams battling it out for the gold medal.

The 11th edition of the Men’s Club World Championship will see six of the world’s top clubs travel to one of volleyball’s heartlands.

Hosts and FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship 2013 winners Sada Cruzeiro have automatically qualified for this year’s event. They will welcome teams from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and the NORCECA region to their court as they look to regain the crown they lost to Russia’s Belogorie Belgorod last year.

The FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship was first held in 1989 and ran until 1992. The tournament was resurrected in 2009 with Italian club Trentino winning the first four editions.
